Earl Sweatshirt (real name Theobald Elliott Crosby) is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer, born February 24, 1994. Originally from the United States, he began his career under the pseudonym Sly Tendencies but later changed it to Earl Sweatshirt . In 2009 Tyler, The Creator invited him to join the hip-hop collective Odd Future . His debut mixtape "Earl" , released in 2010, received critical acclaim. However, shortly after its release, his mother sent him to a boarding school in Samoa, temporarily putting his musical activities on hold. Earl Sweatshirt has had a significant influence on the development of alternative hip-hop.
