Дживан Гаспарян (1928–2021) was an Armenian musician, composer, and master duduk player born in Yerevan, Armenia. A People's Artist of the Armenian SSR, he made a significant contribution to the popularization of Armenian national music. From 1976, he taught at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. Гаспарян collaborated with international artists and composed film scores, including the soundtracks for Gladiator and The Last Temptation of Christ. His albums, such as "I Will Not Be Sad In This World" received worldwide acclaim. Дживан Гаспарян left an indelible mark on global musical culture, making the duduk a symbol of Armenian identity.
