Devonté Hynes , also known as Dev Hynes or Lightspeed Champion , is an English singer, songwriter, record producer, and director born on 23 December 1985. From 2004 to 2006, he was a member of the band Test Icicles , which released one album in 2005. Hynes subsequently launched a solo career, releasing two albums under the moniker Lightspeed Champion and five albums as Blood Orange from 2008 to 2019. His work spans genres from pop to soundtracks and world classical music. Devonté Hynes has made a significant contribution to contemporary music, combining a unique style and a multifaceted approach to sound creation.
