Debauchery is a German metal band founded in 2000 in Germany. Initially called Maggotcunt , the band changed its name to Debauchery in 2002. The band performs music in the death metal and death 'n' roll genres. The name was coined by frontman Thomas after he heard the word in a song from the album The Crimson Idol by the American metal band WASP . Debauchery is known for its powerful live performances and lyrical themes, often related to war and bloodshed. The band made a significant contribution to the development of death metal, adding elements of rock 'n' roll to the genre.
