Danzig is an American metal band founded in 1987. The band was created by Glenn Danzig, previously known for his work in the horror punk bands The Misfits and Samhain . Danzig music combines dark lyrics with blues-rock elements, which distinguishes them from classic metal bands. One of the band's most famous tracks is "Mother" which has received widespread acclaim. In 2016, Glenn Danzig returned to The Misfits as their main vocalist, continuing to perform with them. Danzig has made significant contributions to the genre, fusing elements of punk and metal.
