Damageplan was an American metal band formed in 2003 in Dallas, Texas. The band performed nu metal and featured former members of Pantera and the Darrell brothers—guitarist Dimebag Darrell and drummer Vinnie Paul . The band released its only album, "New Found Power" , which received positive reviews for its powerful sound and energy. Unfortunately, Damageplan career was tragically cut short in 2004 after Dimebag Darrell was murdered during a concert. Despite its short lifespan, the band left a significant mark on the nu metal genre.
