Conor Oberst (full name: Конор Маллен Оберст ) is an American musician and songwriter, born February 15, 1980. He is best known as a member of the band Bright Eyes . He has also played in bands such as Desaparecidos , Norman Bailer , Commander Venus , Park Ave. , Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band , Monsters of Folk , and Better Oblivion Community Center . His work spans the genres of alternative, country, and original songwriting. Conor Oberst has made significant contributions to the development of indie music, both in bands and through solo projects.
