
Chris Squire (Christopher Russell Edward Squire) was a British bassist born in 1948 in the United Kingdom. He co-founded the progressive rock band Yes and remained its longest-serving original member. From 1969 to 2014, Chris Squire played on every studio album by the band, including seminal works such as "Fragile" and "Close to the Edge" In 2020, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him 18th on its list of the 50 greatest bassists of all time. His contribution to the development of progressive rock remains significant and inspires musicians worldwide.
