He pioneered the so-called Bakersfield sound, a genre of country music named after the city of Bakersfield, California, where he lived and drew inspiration. With his band The Buckaroos , he recorded 21 songs that topped Billboard country charts. Among his most famous hits are "Act Naturally" and "Love's Gonna Live Here" Buck Owens had a significant influence on the development of country music, leaving a lasting mark on its history.
