Breakdown of Sanity is a Swiss metalcore band from Bern, founded in 2007. The band's name, which translates as "Clouding of Sanity," reflects the aggression of their music and the dark spirit of modern society. The band gained fame for their DIY approach, characteristic of the hardcore punk scene. Over the course of their career, Breakdown of Sanity released several albums, including "Perception" and "Coexistence" which received acclaim in the metalcore community. After disbanding in 2017, the band reunited in 2020, continuing to contribute to the genre. Their work remains a vital part of the metalcore scene.
