
Боб Гелдоф (Robert Frederick Zenon Geldof) is an Irish musician, actor, and social activist, born in 1951. He rose to prominence as the frontman of the punk rock band The Boomtown Rats and for his role in Pink Floyd 's film The Wall. In 1984, he co-founded the charity supergroup Band Aid with Миджем Юром and later organized Live Aid concert to aid famine relief in Ethiopia. In 2005, he founded the Live 8 festival. His contributions to charity and music have made him a key figure in pop and rock culture.
