
Alma Gluck (born Реба Файнсон on May 11, 1884, in Romania) was an American opera singer known for her contributions to classical and jazz music. She gained prominence in the early 20th century, performing at major venues such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Her recording of "Carry Me Back to Old Virginny" became one of the first classical recordings to sell over a million copies. Alma Gluck was celebrated for her clear soprano voice and her ability to bridge classical and popular music, leaving a lasting impact on the genre. She passed away on October 27, 1938.
