Alison Moyet, born Genevieve Alison Jane Moyet in 1961 in the United Kingdom, is a British vocalist known for her contributions to pop, rock, and electronic music. She gained prominence in the 1980s as part of the synth-pop duo Yazoo alongside Vince Clarke. After leaving Yazoo, she embarked on a successful solo career, with eleven of her albums charting in the UK Albums Chart. Her debut album, Alf, and the compilation Singles both reached number one. In 2008, Yazoo reunited for a European tour supporting their reissued recordings. Moyet remains a significant figure in her genres, blending powerful vocals with innovative production.
