Alan White was an English drummer born in 1972, best known for his tenure with the rock band Oasis from 1995 to 2004. Before joining Oasis, he played with Starclub from 1991 to 1994. White joined Oasis in April 1995, replacing the original drummer Tony McCarroll, and became the longest-serving drummer in the band's history. He contributed to four studio albums, a B-sides compilation, and a live album. Recommended to Noel Gallagher by Paul Weller, White's drumming became a key part of the band's sound. He left Oasis in 2004 and was succeeded by Zak Starkey. His work remains influential in the Britpop genre.
