Al Foster (full name: Элоизиус Фостер ) is an American jazz drummer born in 1943. He is known for his contributions to traditional jazz and his collaborations with legends such as Miles Davis , Sonny Rollins , and Herbie Hancock . Foster began his career in the 1960s and became a key figure in jazz thanks to his unique drumming style. Among his best-known recordings are the albums "Big Fun" and "On the Corner" with Miles Davis . His contributions to jazz music made him one of the most respected drummers of his time.
