Joe Perry (real name Anthony Joseph Perry ) is an American guitarist and songwriter, born September 10, 1950, in the United States. He is best known as a founder and member of the band Aerosmith . His contributions to music have been recognized by Rolling Stone magazine, which included him in its list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time: at number 48 in 2003 and at number 84 in 2011.
