Michael Brun is a Haitian DJ and music producer based in New York, born on May 19, 1992. Known for blending electronic music with traditional Haitian styles like kompa and rara, he has carved a unique niche in the dance music genre. In 2013, he released his debut EP Gravity, and in 2014, he founded the label Kid Coconut to promote Haitian music and artists. His 2018 single "Positivo" with J Balvin became the official theme for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. On June 26, 2019, he released his debut album Lokal, further showcasing his innovative approach to music. Michael Brun continues to be a vital force in bringing Haitian sounds to the global stage.
