Menschsein - Zaunpfahl

Was bin ich froh, dass ich kein Insekt bin

Ich will kein Käfer und auch keine Fliege sein

Muss nicht fliegen gegen Fenster und um Lampen herum

Werd nicht von Meschen zertreten, denn das wäre dumm

Was bin ich froh, dass ich kein Tier im Zoo bin

Ich würde den ganzen Tag nur durch ein Gitter sehen

Von Tauben vollgeschissen

Von Touris angestarrt

Wär nicht mal in der Lage mich von ihnen wegzudrehen

Woanders hinzugehen

Denn ich bin Mensch auf dieser Erde

Doch das hab ich mir nicht selber ausgesucht

Ich habe nur dies eine Leben und will das Beste damit tun

Doch ob das richtig ist weiß ich erst hinterher

Ja ich bin Mensch

Muss damit leben

Aber träumen darf ich schon, das ist erlaubt

How glad am I that I'm not an animal in the zoo

I would only see through a grid all day

Wouldn't even be able to turn away from them

to go somewhere else

Because I am human on this earth

But I didn't choose that myself
