Любовь слепа и нас лишает сна.

Когда ее шелками приоденут,

Своим сияньем так разит она,

Что иногда глаза влюбленных слепнут.

Любовь сильней — сильнее слепота:

Ты свято веришь в лживые слова,

Смакуя жадно приторные звуки.

Любовь, бывает, сердце болью рвет,

Но здравый смысл не смеет молвить слово,

Когда главенствует в душе Эрот,

Вкуснее меда жесткая полова.

Но,

Нет ничего прекраснее любви,

Хотя она и причиняет муки,

Она слепа и ей вовек идти,

Увы!

С безумием держась за руки.
