Es war Morgen, so wie jeder andere

Und ich wachte wieder viel zu spät auf

Ich sprang in meine alte Jeans

Und rannte unrasiert und hungrig aus dem Haus

Der Bus war voll von schlecht gelaunten Leuten

Doch ich bekam noch einen Stehplatz neben ihr

Wir sahen und an und sprachen kaum ein Wort

Doch wir verstanden uns sofort

Und dann stiegen wir gemeinsam wieder aus

Und ich dachte schon, daß das passiert

Wir blieben den ganzen Tag zusammen

Aber abends sah sie mich traurig an

Und sagte, daß aus uns nichts werden kann

Dann sah ich an ihrem Finger einen Ring

We stayed together all day

But in the evening she looked at me sadly

And said that nothing can come of us

Then I saw a ring on her finger
