All I need

Is something that can wake me up

When I’m in too deep

Can pull me from a lucid state

It shakes me up

Every time I struggle for breath

I feel her press down, press down

I, I can’t get her off my chest

Many years have come and passed

And still she finds me here

Even sleeping on my side is not

Enough to keep her away

I can’t seem to shake

The things she’s done to me

So I’ll lay awake til morning light comes

I couldn’t get out

I was frozen something statuesque
