Дорогой шёл пустых запретов,

Растратил молодость, поверив лжи,

В себя ушёл, но не заметил,

Что крал свободу у души.

Вдали от суеты

Под взором пристальным богов

Живёшь стезёй аскета,

Отрицая сытый мир.

Сжигая все мосты,

Шагнул в ручей без берегов,

Где яд соблазнов и запретов —

Враг твой и кумир.

Ты ненавидел жизнь,

Преданиям ты верил свято,

Разрывая плоть в куски,

Решил не отступать,

Идти дорогой в высь.

Ни женщин, ни вина, ни злата.

Стоять до гробовой доски,

Потом — блистать.

Но обрушится с небес гнев аскета,

Разнесётся по земле дикий стон.

Камни долбят чью-то жизнь, спасенья нет.

За поруганную высь мстит аскет.

В пещере жизнь прожил,

Отмыл с души людскую грязь,

Постиг дыханье силы,

Ей сумел повелевать.

А бог не уследил

И злу в наш мир оставил лаз.

Ты в окружении застыл —

Ни скрыть, ни убежать.

Пятёрка молодцов,

К земле тебя прижав, и смех

Из глоток, заглушая крик,

Как гвоздь заходит в мозг.

Глумливое лицо,

Блудницы раскалённый грех,

Дробя мечты в единый миг,

Ожёг как воск.
