Now in the shadows I’ve learnt

Observe patterns like the plaid on my shirt

Cast doubt on the wall of that cavern

Shed light with the lantern bug scatter that earth

Fake smiles let me shatter that smirk

Rearrange your grey matter see your path in reverse

Saw the chapters read 'em backwards re-imagined the words

Climbed the ladder, top to bottom and I landed on first

Slow, steady and calculate

Calibrate the vision, take notes and extrapolate

Fine tune and listen, make goals and encapsulate

Take what’s theirs, make it yours, watch 'em salivate

I have the luxury of hindsight

Luckily I don’t believe I don’t fucking need that limelight

Pay attention and rewind twice

That actor in the spotlight dies, I got my mind right

Punks pay dues, not me I pay attention
