Mily sápadt, szürke, borús ég

Ily halott nem volt réges rég

S mily titokzatos, sûrû köd

Szörnyként kúszik a fák közt

Mily sötét, komor, csupasz fák

A köd titkait hallgatják

S az éj fagyos leple alatt

Varázsolják az álmokat

Fekszik a földön sok levél

Kikben a fák tudata él

S a köd fekete titkait

A föld mélyébe leviszik

A föld táplálja testemet

És köd járja át lelkemet

A teli hold homályos fénye

Az álmaim sötét ösvénye

Hol szövõdnek az álmaim

Ha felnyílnak a szemeim

A ködnek sápadt fonalából

S az ég bús szelének hangjából

S az erdõ sötét mélységébõl

S az ereimbe fagyott vérbõl

What a pale, gray, overcast sky

It wasn't so long ago

And what a mysterious, dense fog

It creeps through the trees like a monster

How dark, gloomy, bare trees

They listen to the secrets of the fog

And under the frosty veil of night

They conjure up dreams

There are many leaves on the ground

In whom the consciousness of the trees lives

And the black secrets of the fog

It is taken down to the depths of the earth

The earth feeds my body

And a fog passes through my soul

The dim moon of the full moon

The dark path of my dreams

Where my dreams intertwine

If my eyes open

From the pale thread of the fog

And from the sound of the sad winds of heaven

And from the dark depths of the forest

And from the blood frozen in my veins
