Schier die Hälfte meines Lebens

Doch es scheint mir wie mein Ganzes

Leb' davon und leb' dafür, manchmal krieg' ich einen Schreck

Denn ich lebe nur noch in ihr, ansonsten fehlt Gefühl

Und glaub' mir wenn ich sage, ich schlaf' nicht gut

Ich sag' laut: «Ich habe den Mut.»

Und denk' mir: «Hab' ich den Mut?»

Sieh mich Stück für Stück Brücken einreißen

Zur Vergangenheit, das kein zweiter Weg mehr zu geh’n bleibt

Im Grunde habe ich mich niemals dafür entschieden

Vielmehr ist seit Tag Eins keine Liebe mehr geblieben für

Irgendwas anderes als das, was du hörst

Ich hab' alles aufgegeben, was mich auf dem Weg stört

Und würd' es wieder tun und werd' es weiter tun

Denn dies Ist alles was ich hab'

Sieh, ich mach' seit zehn Jahren Musik

Und manchmal denk' ich: «Alles hat sich verändert.»

Im nächsten Moment denk' ich: «Alles ist gleich.»

Und vielleicht ist der Spiegel nicht mehr erkennbar

Doch mein Spiegelbild ist das, was bleibt

Ich würde lügen, wenn ich sag', ich guck nicht

Mit einem lachenden und einem weinenden Auge zurück

Auf die ganze vergangene Zeit

Ich bin abertausende Kilometer auf all den Autobahn'

Hin und her gefahr’n

Und bin heute noch — ganz genau — kein Star

Fick das, im Endeffekt wurd' es erst wichtig, seit

Die Gerichtsvollzieher fragen, wo die Kohle denn bitte bleibt?

Und alter, mit der Zeit vergeht auch der Glanz von Allem

Das Musikgeschäft begrüßt dich mit einer Hand mit Krallen

Und dann siehst du die alten Idole sind Scheiße wert

Irgendwann vertraust du keinem mehr, herzlich Willkommen, Jungens!

Ich hab' die Schule geschmissen, zu Hause rausgeflogen

Freunde zuhauf verloren und wurd' dafür ausgebootet

Hoch geträumt und tief gefall’n und Depression' gehabt

Jeden geklatscht am Rande vom Knast und Drogenwrack

War niemals treu, nie vertraut und niemals geliebt

Außer bei der Ein', alter — zehn Jahre Musik

Doch scheiß auf rumheul’n, im Endeffekt ist alles gut

Ich sitz' nich' von neun bis fünf Uhr immer im selben Stuhl

Und egal wo ich hinkomm' in Deutschland, Hip-Hopper kenn’n mich

Ich bin unendlich dankbar für jeden, der noch Fan ist

Ich steh' im Publikum, feier' die Ander’n auch

Mach' vielleicht nicht mal die Musik, aber ich geb' Applaus

Ich hab' Respekt für jeden, der mit dem Herz dabei is'

Siehst du das gleich, dass Coolness noch immer Ehrlichkeit is'?

Und ich mein das nicht Hippie-mäßig, wenn es ein Problem gibt

Da hinten steh' ich, was ist los mit dir?

Manchmal glaub' ich, ich bin der letzte normale Typ

Der keine Filme schiebt und der sich bei allen Fragen bemüht

Wahrscheinlich weil ich dankbar bin, dass es mir möglich ist

Jeden Tag meines Lebens zu geben, für was Größeres

Nur wenn ich frage.

«Hörst du mich?», dann mein' ich: «Siehst.

This one love for music, because I live it

Live from it and live for it, sometimes I get a fright

Because I only live in it, otherwise there is no feeling

And believe me when I say I don't sleep well

I say out loud: "I have the courage."

And think to myself: "Do I have the courage?"

Watch me tear down bridges bit by bit

To the past, which leaves no other way to go

Basically, I never decided to do it

Rather, since day one, there has been no love left for

Anything other than what you hear

I've given up everything that bothers me on the way

And would do it again and will continue to do it

Because this is all I have

See, I've been making music for ten years

And sometimes I think: "Everything has changed."

The next moment I think: «Everything is the same.»

After ten years of music

And maybe the mirror is no longer recognizable

But my reflection is what remains

Ten years of music

I would be lying if I said I wasn't watching

With a laughing and a crying eye back

For all the time that has passed

I've been thousands of kilometers on all the Autobahn'

Driving back and forth

And I'm still — to be precise — not a star

Fuck that, in the end it only became important since

The bailiffs ask where the coal is please?

And dude, with time, so does the shine of everything

The music store greets you with a clawed hand

And then you see the old idols are worth shit

At some point you won't trust anyone anymore, welcome boys!

I dropped out of school, kicked out at home

Lost friends in droves and was booted out for it

Dreamed high and fell deeply and had depression

Everyone clapped on the edge of jail and a drug wreck

Was never faithful, never trusted and never loved

Except for the one, old — ten years of music

But fuck whining, in the end everything is fine

I don't always sit in the same chair from nine to five

And no matter where I go in Germany, hip hoppers know me

I am infinitely grateful for everyone who is still a fan

I'm in the audience, celebrate the others too

Maybe not even do the music, but I'll give the applause

I have respect for everyone who is there with their heart

Can you see right away that coolness is still honesty?

And I don't mean that in a hippie way, if there's a problem

I'm standing back there, what's the matter with you?

Sometimes I think I'm the last normal guy

Who doesn't push films and who tries to answer all questions

Probably because I'm grateful that it's possible for me

Giving up every day of my life for something bigger
