I don’t know what you’ve been through

But you don’t get out much do you?

Your bitterness is overdue

It grows all over you

But for real

It’s closer than what you can imagine, the change

You owe it to what still remain

Once proudly you fulfilled what was expected of you

Once you worked for what they build

For all of us to continue

But like everybody else, you took it all for granted

And did it all just for your self — and then rust implanted

At least you have someone for this occasion

Who’s willing to look right through

Stripped of all hope and expectations

Reflecting bad on you

This lost cause perfected you

(I know that’s what you’re thinking)

When the ship goes down, you go proudly, too

Once a long time ago you fulfilled what was expected of you

For all of us to continue

But like everybody else, you derailed

And took it all for granted

It feels worse when it gets better
