Wieder einmal hab' ich eine viel zu kurze wilde Nacht

Ohne großen Schaden anzurichten hinter mich gebracht!

Sanfte Strahlen der Laterne blinzeln durch die Jalousien —

Hinter halb geschlossnen Lidern seh' ich Rauch vorüberzieh'n

Ich beginne meinen Körper nach Verlusten durchzugeh’n

Doch dann seh' ich dich ganz nah bei mir

Gleich vor dem Bettrand steh’n!

Mit dem Anflug eines Lächelns

Greif' ich schnell nach deinem Rohr —

Ich befeuchte dich mit Wasser

Und es zischt an meinem Ohr!

Erst ein Brausen, dann ein Spritzen.

— Ja ich fühle mich befreit!

Denn begierig trinke ich dann deine trübe Flüssigkeit —

Aspirin!

Lass mich nie mehr allein

Denn ich trink' so gern billigen Wein

Jeder kennt dich und du bist im ganzen Land

Als Acetylsalicylsäure bekannt —

Aspirin!

Oh du schmeckst so geil

Und du machst den Kopf mir wieder heil

Es gibt dich zum Kauen und mit Koffein

Und seit neuestem auch mit dem C-Vitamin!

Ich wünsche mir nur du bewahrst dir deine Ehrlichkeit!

Ich liebe dich, pur wie du immer warst, weiß, löslich und immer bereit —

Aspirin!

Lass mich nie mehr allein

Denn ich trink so gern billigen Wein!

Hier steh' ich bereit ewige Treue zu schwör'n —

Für dich würd ich sogar mit dem Trinken aufhör'n!

Gentle rays of the lantern squint through the blinds—

I see smoke passing behind half-closed eyelids

I start going through my body for losses

First a roar, then a splash.

— Yes I feel liberated!

Because then I eagerly drink your cloudy liquid—

Everyone knows you and you're across the country

Known as acetylsalicylic acid —

Oh you taste so awesome

And you heal my head again

There's you chewable and caffeinated

And now also with the C vitamin!

I just wish you keep your honesty!

I love you, pure as you always were, white, soluble and always ready -
