Impatience and frustration has consumed me.

Disaster lurks at the doorstep of

your soul, and it’s unsettling to watch you struggle, immersed in your

iniquities.

Pain pills are the haven you run to, but the

effect wears off over time.

What once stayed hidden now dances in the spotlight.

Your search for solace never ends in success.

You always make it to the bottom of the bottle, but you never quite find what

you’re looking for.

And therapy is only so useful when you’re unwilling to talk.

You are scared to be vulnerable, pushing aside the facts, leaving no room for

correction.

You lack concern for anyone but yourself.

You say you’re better, but you’re irrational at best, consumed with terror from

the cavern in your chest, where you hide from God because you think he won’t

forgive you for the wrong you’ve done.

And prayer is only useful when you pray to a real God.

So pray for the passion you need to reach the end of the story without

surrendering.
