The Mullingar Fleadh will be never forgot

By those who were there and by those who were not

The craic, it was good and the music was grand

The jigs and the reels and the songs of our land

There was banjos and whistles and bodhráns and pipes

And fiddles and zithers and flutes of all types!

And we sang the old songs, sure, the old fashioned songs

I heard the pipes played with the magical sound

I’ve seen a jig danced and they ne’er touched the

'Twas attended by all, by the living and the dead

The sane and insane, sure, they all shared a bed

And Bagus and Venus, they sported and played

And the weekend extended by four to five days
