Midway through my life

The endless road turns dark

Early morning still I fell

The cause of my complaint thought

Would never pass this way

No one really cares I can tell

After all these years

It’s becoming quite clear

For as long as we both shall live

Already lost so tired of playing the fool

Cries from a troubled sleep

While standing on the shore

Once again I’ll ask

Why do the worms about them creep
