Open doors are hard to see

The same old rooms they all agree

That I belong inside their walls

I’ll wander round their oval halls

A window cuts into the room

I still don’t know just what to do

The time has come but doesn’t speak

Or maybe I am just too weak

I know it feels like time is standing still

It might be fading but it’s not all gone

I know it’s harder when you’ve lost the will

But there’s a place I know we both belong

The letters showered around the floor

I find a few, just three or four

While holding fast to thoughts so brief

It’s harder still to hold belief

Sure I know the saying goes

That life’s a journey, not one I chose

It’s true to say the path is cut

But seems to me, the map’s corrupt
