I saw it coming from the start

And I can’t believe how far

We came from where we were

Now I’m standing here

I’m taking back the words I said

Inspired by the things you did

I’ll make the best of the time I have left

So I don’t end up buried six feet in regret

There’s one thing running through my head

Will my work even make a dent

Will these words last or get lost in the past

The sand is slipping through the hourglass

Between the lines are empty moments and wasted time
