Lost At Sea - The Protest

Sleep don’t come easy when your mind is wide awake.

Unending thoughts, is that the cost?

A common symptom when you can’t turn off your brain.

I toss and turn all night but still can’t find my rest.

I’m so distraught and feeling lost

I feel uneasy as my heart pounds in my chest.

I’m lost in a sea

Hopes and dreams and memories are drowning me,

I’m dying to breath

But I try to believe

That somewhere in the atmosphere

I’ll see a star beckoning me

So many people try to shatter all my dreams.

The pain grows, but on I go

Another struggle as I’m searching for my peace.

They break me down and try to leave me all alone.

I’ve turned to stone with no control.

They think they’ve killed me but I’m far from on my own.
