Onwards - The Prestige

It’s everywhere around us.

In the wind we feel on our skin,

In the air that smells so thin.

The casket has been left open for too long.

All of this feels so wrong.

What are you running away from?

What are you so afraid of?

The light is so bright.

I can hardly move forward

But this won’t stop me from moving onwards.

It took us so much time and it took us so much signs

Just to realise we have what it takes to take control again.

Even if sometimes it may feel out of reach.

They may try to take away our ideals and make theirs our own.
