Grayscale - The Pedestrians

Try to imagine, if you will, my life of black and white, my world uncrossed

So many outlines, none quite filled

(So many outlines undefined)

How many sunsets have I lost?

Still, I know this can’t be right

Too caught up to realize it’s just a colorless, grayscale sort of life

And that was where I stood the day

Without fanfare you just waltzed on in

You took all my grays away

And all you touched, kaleidoscopes a-spin

You glide through, sight yet unseen

Bring the blues, the reds, the greens

You’ve got to shake it up

Shed this light for me

Refractions fall neatly into the hues you’ve spoken

As if I, so sweetly, had my eyes finally opened
