Until Now -

Its not easy being me, but it’s probably harder being you

How bad can you bend a lie before it becomes true

In a spasm of serenity after tyin' up a shoe

I tried to jog my memory;

but walking’s what it do

And terrible was the day that cast us all away

Yet i do the best i know & i mean to keep doing so

Cuz nothing we would find on top could end up down below til'

Now

Until now i never thought they’d hear me

Until now it seemed like just a theory

Until now the rainbows could be found

Until now the stars stayed off the ground

So give me the grace to do without further down the salty streets

Lord only knows what would come about

When pieces of poetry patch up the peace

Then i will play catch & release

But we’ll need more than that to match up the beast

If I’m gonna make it home

When you and her assumed we were at once the trumpet blown

So how can i pretend that we will ever get it done?

And why everything that’s meant to end could never have begun’til now
