as the daylight dims

the dawning begins

another one to fall

when time runs together

shades of gray return

i feel again

the clouds shade the words

dreams blare aloud

eyes burn with tears

i drown again

walking in September

clawing at the surface of the waves

circling and grasping

the truth finds me
