Winter Lair - The For Carnation

Drifting to sleep

Let the snow fall

Deep unto the blighted place

Far below

The earth, the slowing

Rivers flow, come again

Alone in the force

Of the morning

Last dark light at his feet

Dreams come to he

Who is fallen

Comfort and sin, place in one

Bit by frail

Silver spider

That crawled into my winter lair

Fortunes vast

Can provide what is

Granted me now, in our modest home

Birds in the trees

High above us

Listen for the sound of padded feet

Small branch is broken

Hanging loose now

Resting against the piney floor

Pulling her weight

From the whole now

Fox makes its way into my den
