There was a time

When I was hopeful

But now my dreams are dust

And some I stand alone

And slowly rust

I am a tin man

Rusting in the snow

I’m out of luck

For now I’m stuck

There’s nowhere I can go

Once I was mobile

Free to run about

Beat years of unrequired huff

Have filled my heart with doubt

As I stand here frozen

Tears freeze before they start

The one whom life has snubbed
