Now is it okay to put

All the time that you’ve had

In the hands of someone else

And expect that they will grasp

All the things that you’ve set out to believe in

Maybe that’s not the only reason

As to why you try to change my views

And tell me what’s okay to do

I refuse to let you change what I want to choose

This is my life, not your life

They’re two completely different things

Just believe me that I will be okay

When I think I’ve seen it all

I fall behind and breathe in everything I’m missing

And they were, as it seemed

Content with living their lives

In what they considered godly ways

But when you’ve grown up like that

In somebody’s opinion

They put you on a track

But to their own decisions

All that is done is judged, can it just be?

Without questioning of morals and human beliefs

Just believe me when I say

That the good times will pay

And every day is a new chance

To live in a different way

When I think I’ve seen it all

When you realize that this whole time
