I caught you sleeping in the middle of the night with your hand on top of my

belly.

I didn’t have all the answers for what went right.

A congregation of distractions, knocking at my door.

They’re a company of errors, a call I leave unanswered, and turn out the lights.

As these old walls lose resilience, just an artefact that couldn’t last.

I watch your love flood through the palace, couldn’t help but watch you wash

away the past.

Just read the writing on the wall, and let the wind blow where it’s blowing.

Throw your hands up to the fight, we never needed the answers for what went
