There was a fire in the city but he put it out

There was smoke in the air coming from his mouth

The flags went flying way over his head

His name was mentioned on television

And running on the streets were those who sought

To manifest what the names had bought

They walked the distance, they went for the eyes

They placed a bomb in the abomination

I screamed until I bled just to find a voice

The hills were alive with that goddamn noise

The gods were willing and the punks were too

I guess we all did what we had to do
