Луна не видела среди огней

Как две из множества других теней

Одетых так же, как и ночь, ночь тогда была

В белом

Отделившись от ненужных тел

Полетели в лунный запредел

Мимо снов и золотых стрел

Отметив путь мелом

И две наши тени были там

Они прорвались ночью к облакам

Они пока не знали, что богам

Не по душе тени,

А на обратной стороне луны,

Обратной, темной стороне луны

Две эти тени были не нужны,

Там все вокруг — тени

Стоп — но тени — только тени, и так

Бывает иногда

Горячим летом в этих двух

Странных городах

Летели, летели, летели — и вдруг,

Робкая заря

Оставила день и мокрый стук

В окна октября

А что касается тех двух теней —

Одна стоит как прежде у дверей,

А ветры лестниц дуют все сильней,

Но все они — тени …

Ну, а другая где-то у окна

Горячий кофе и не спит она

И только бледная одна луна,

Где все вокруг — тени

The moon did not see among the lights

Like two of many other shadows
