Quietly i ask to leave to no one else

Just to myself

And i reply alone you leave

Contemplate what was good for me

On the upside i’m who i am

On the down that’s all i have

Consciously i made the bed in which i sleep

Without a hand to comfort me

The room’s too dark to feel at peace

I had what was meant to be

Towards the doorway away from him

Time seems to pass you by

Without a hint or sign

Of what it could have been

If you had stayed with him

Swiftly out of the blue

Out by the wayside
