What It Was -

What is was I still had to do

Give my Life to God

Made me as deceiving myself

Thinking I was giving my all

Convinced I was the righteous one

(Couldn't) see that I was not

Giving my everything, was giving just a part.

Today is the day you search your

heart to see if your worship is genuine

Cause Jesus can see what’s deep within your heart

Sought to do the right (Can't you

see your drifting farther away form me)

(You need to) open up your eyes (So you can see) How

much you need the LORD (To show you) Show you genuine faith.

And I learned that when I feel the wrong

I need to get down on my knees

Cause the devil wants me to feel content

Not to see the need to grow.

So I pray for you today that God will take off your comfort zone

You will realize knowing God is a daily process

He gets sweeter by the day.

How sad to be if Jesus said to you on that day

I knew you not ye child of evil get away from me.

You had the chance to go with me you left the narrow way

Self-Righteousness deceived you in to going your on way.

When you feel the wrong, you gotta get down on your knees

A cause the devil wants you and I to feel content,

Not even see the need to grow.

So early in the morning, when you rise, right through the day

You gotta pray to the father and say, I need the strength to overcome

You gotta say Father, Oh Father, I need you right now in life now.

I pray for you brothers, I pray for you sisters,

I pray for Mothers and Fathers and Children.

That God will forgive you, have mercy, and give you a brand new start.
