Overwhelmed -

This writer’s block will be the death of me

in the corner of my room.

These white walls won’t bring me peace

they just dull my point of view.

With so many things to do

I didn’t think this through,

I didn’t think this through.

But I said this wouldn’t break me down, but I, I lied.

I’m overwhelmed by everything around me

with all this pressure building

there’s a weight upon my chest

I try to yell but I feel my lungs collapsing

I try to breathe I’m gasping

This is my cry for help

I’m overwhelmed

If this is it then I want out

there’s no one to guide me

I’m overwhelmed by all my doubt

but then voice inside me screams

What about all you claim to be?
