Life, half afraid

of things beyond our reach

We fear they might collapse and bring us down

And life, too often too scared

of promises and choices

And of wings that stir the air

But someday

We‘ll set out for things that we crave

Though we can‘t foresee

Where the wild wind blows

All we have is this moment

All we have is this knowledge

That this life is a passage

So narrow, so wide

All we have is this union

Like rivers and oceans

And it all can be taken in a blink of an eye

Days like winding roads

A labyrinth of dreams

That often die before they come to life

Though we know

We can‘t sing this song forever

We keep on writing on

And on until the break of dawn

But our notions

Will someday be ghosts on the wind

And we can‘t hold back all that is to come
