Desensitized

So many walk through this world so blind

No compassion, no motivation to try

To make a difference

Just wasted minds

Feeding the cycle of apathy

We perpetuate our greed

Our destructive nature knows no bounds

Self-seeking self-worshipping

Everyone claims to be «revolutionary»

But we just revolve around ourselves

We cling to the things that we hate

Consumed by our pursuit of excess

Sickened at the thought progress

Never looking at the bigger picture

Depraved

Humanity is my stumbling block

I just want to feel something more than anger

But its so hard to turn the other cheek

When this place has left a mark on me

I will push away the lie

Rip the scales from my eyes

I will not be desensitized
