Cold morning light

The last shadows of night

Slowly melting down

Come out and behold

The all-time race for gold

Has seen another round

I go, I clamber up the tops

And fall into the sun-forgotten caves

I don’t have anything

Just look and never take

One doesn’t have that much to save

I step outside my private cage

Into the world of beasts

Though I myself but one of those

So I take it as it is

For who am I to change the old unwritten laws
