Eternal night, the soul of man

Begging for your brightness

But none will bow to your whims

Followed by all, revered by none

Self-sustaining plague of nature

That overwhelms the mind

Profit feeding, endless greed

And weakness fed the fear

This cursed stranglehold encircles

The man who made the world wild

Fire, explosions in the sky

Powering the impulse of mankind

We’ve made the world into the underworld

We destroy as we desire

To keep up the individuals

To extend our madness

Nothing at all like the extravagant passing

So valuable to them

So invaluable to all

Distant I see it

My heart longs for it

The spot to end

This unending blight
